We host groups several times a year. Booking your retreat here provides access to the magic and peace of our land and sacred sites. We have a variety of indoor and outdoor event spaces to host you. Our spacious facilities are well-equipped and ideal for Tibetan Buddhist Empowerments, Buddhist teachings and retreats, yoga retreats, school field trips, small seminars and workshops, and meditation retreats of all varieties.
What is Included?
Depending on our needs we can accommodate full and partial rentals depending on your needs. The areas of our center that can be included in the rental depend on availability and your groups needs.

KĀlachakra Temple
We have a fully equipped shrine room — Kālachakra Temple — that can be used for Tibetan Buddhist Empowerments, rituals and retreats, as well as meditation and practices in other traditions based on approval of our board.
Kālachakra Stūpa
Circumbambulate or meditate near the blessed Kālachakra Stūpa consecrated by Jhado Rinpoché and similar to H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama’s Stūpa in Dharamsala.
Yoga STUDIO / Seminar ROOM
Our yoga room is a flexible space that is perfect for seminars, yoga and other body practices, sound healing or meditation. Our room includes a flat screen TV for lectures, yoga mats and piano.
commercial Kitchen and pantry
Rent the full space and gain access to our commercial kitchen with multiple refridgerators, ovens, stovetops, industrial dishwasher, and laundry. We can provide you a list of local farms to source food from and suggest chefs.
Indoor and outdoor Dining
Our dining hall can seat up to 50 people. We also offer some outdoor dining on the terrace that has a beautiful view overlooking the valley of Austrian villages and farmlands. The dining hall is accessible 24/7. A coffee and tea bar can be set up with all the fixings for retreatants.
Accomodations
We have diverse dormitory rooms available to rent. Our Main House offers 5 rooms: 4 shared rooms with a total of 24 beds (two 8-bed rooms and two 4-bed rooms), and an additional room for single use, which can also be used as an office.
Camping Area
We have a spot on the Stūpa hill, inside the retreat center, where you can camp. Retreatants and visitors love sleeping near the Kālachakra Stūpa and waking up in nature with an expansive view.
Outdoor Yoga & Activity Spaces
We have a variety of outdoor spaces with stunning views (towards the east) for group activities such as meditation, group discussions, yoga, Tai Chi etc. This includes a vast open terrace, a covered terrace with prayer wheels and tables, and a front terrace with seating areas.
Lama SUITE and SPECIAL Apartment
A spacious private suite and and additional private apartment with bathroom and kitchen are available on a case-by-case basis. These are reserved for Rinpochés and VIP guest teachers.
KALAPA SHOP: SACRED Gift STORE
Our Dharma shop is filled with authentic items to help practitioners in their practice and to inspire visitors. Our focus is on blessed, consecrated, and educational items that are not easy to find in other similar stores in the West.
Hiking and nature Trails
Take your group to the nearby walking and hiking trails in the forest or to the Sulm waterfall, with its crystal-clear waters, for a meditative, reflective, or restorative nature experience.

For those who are visiting with cars, we are located about 10 minutes from the town of Bad Schwanberg, surrounded by authentic Austrian villages, which offers a natural outdoor swimming pool and traditional local restaurants. Alternatively you can also take the low-cost Regio Taxi.

Yoga Studio / Seminar Room Rental:

Discounts:
- 3 hours rental: 70 € (instead of 75 €)
- 1-day rental (à 8 hours): 164 € (instead of 200 €)
- Long-term weekly rental: 20 € per hour (instead of 25 €; minimum of 3 hours weekly for a period of a minimum of 3 months)
Retreat Center Rental (without dormitories):
264 € / day (8 hours period, e.g. from 09:00 – 17:00)
Included: Yoga/seminar room, fully equipped kitchen (including an industrial dishwasher and a separate cool storage room), dining hall, three outside terraces (one covered), and outside grounds.
Additionally, the Kālachakra Temple is included on a donation basis but only in case the use of the temple for the specific event has been approved by the spiritual director.
Security Deposit: 500 € if the kitchen areas are used, otherwise only 264 €. This security deposit fee covers any damage and cleaning hours if the property is not returned in the same condition as it was taken. Regarding cleaning in specific, if the property is returned in the exact condition in which it was received, the full amount of the security deposit will be refunded; otherwise, the necessary cleaning hours (15 € per hour) will be deducted.
Payment: Prepayment of 10% of the total rental amount, due on the day of booking. The remainder of the rental amount and the security deposit must be transferred one week before the start of the event.
Retreat Center Rental (overnight, including all dormitories):
900 € / night
This price is to host 31 people including facilitators (25 beds + 6 tent spots).
Included: all dormitories (4 shared rooms with a total of 24 beds + 1 single room), yoga/seminar room, fully equipped kitchen (including an industrial dishwasher and a separate cool storage room), dining hall, three outside terraces (one covered), and outside grounds.
Additionally, the Kālachakra Temple is included on a donation basis but only in case the use of the temple for the specific event has been previously approved by the spiritual director.
Details for the starting and concluding days of the rental period:
Arrival from 15:00. Departure at 11:00.
Earlier arrival from 09:00: extra charge of 216 € (for 6 hours)
Later departure until 17:00: extra charge of 216 € (for 6 hours)
Special offer: we accept to host additional people up to a maximum of 40 people (more tent spots + some participants overnighting outside in hotels) without extra charge.
Alternatives for bigger groups:
41-50 people: 108 € additional payment (total: 1,008 € per night)
51-60 people: 216 € additional payment (total: 1,116 € per night)
Alternative for medium-sized groups:
21-30 people: 792 € per night (108,- discount)
Special offer for smaller groups (less than 21 people including facilitators):
150 € Fee + 30 € per person (regardless of type of stay)
Examples:
20 people: 750 € in total per night
16 people: 630 €
12 people: 510 €
8 people: 390 €
Note: 390 € is the minimum amount for the rental of the whole retreat center regardless if the event has 8 or fewer people.

Additional costs of 108 € per day. Special Discount: 636 € per week.

Additional Costs for the availability of the Retreat Center Staff during a rental of the whole Retreat Center:
Already included in the rental fee are:
- 1-2 hours on the day of arrival (for introduction to the center and technical aspects, inventory presentation, etc.)
- 30 min. – 1 hour on the day of departure (for return handover)
- Daily 15 minutes during the event for urgent organizational questions.
The Retreat Center staff is generally not available beyond these times. In case of an emergency where the staff is needed beyond these times, extra costs of 30 € per hour will occur and be deducted from the security deposit.
