DESCRIPTION
We are joyful to announce that Rinpoche has accepted our teaching request for a commentary on the Great Omniscient Jonangpa Dolpopa’s profound “Prayer to the Auspiciousness of Buddha Nature.” Rinpoche will also bestow an oral transmission of it. Here is an excerpt:
Auspicious—what dwells in the heart of all sentient beings,
The selfness of all, the highest lord of all lineages,
The producer of sentient beings without exception, great bliss,
In that way, may auspiciousness bring peace to you today!
If time permits, Rinpoche might also decide to offer, additionally, commentary and transmission on a further text by Dolpopa, the concise but similarly profound “Aspiration Prayer of the Ultimate Definitive Meaning.”
We commonly recite these prayers during long, strict retreats before starting the formal sādhana. However, these prayers are not restricted and can also be recited at any time. Through these prayers written by such a realized being, we not only gain inspiration and merit for progressing further on our path, but we can also gain excellent insights into Dolpopa’s unique presentation of Buddha Nature and the Zhentong view of Other-Emptiness.
Both texts are available for free on our online learning platform. If you prefer to have a hard copy of it, you can get it in our printed practice book “The Profound Path of Vajra Yoga” in English or other languages.
Rinpoche will bestow it directly from his Vajra Throne at Dzokden Kalapa Retreat Center in Austria, during a break in his guiding disciples in retreats of the Completion Stage of the Six Vajra Yogas of Kālachakra.
Note for in-person attendance: if you are participating in an in-person retreat at Kalapa and would like to extend your stay to attend in person, that is possible. Just register and send additionally an e-mail to [email protected] so that we can inform you of the conditions. If you are a member of Kalapa association, you can use your yearly free day stay at Kalapa.
Consecutive translation in person in German might be possible if there are requests, but it cannot be guaranteed beforehand.
Volunteer Opportunity: If you would like to help the team in person during the event (preparation, running, or wrap-up), please contact us as soon as you have decided to attend.
May all incidental obscurations swiftly cease so that beings as vast as space may benefit from swiftly realizing their enlightened essence! (Dolpopa)
