Vajrapani MANDALA
As Avalokiteshvara embodies the compassion of all the Buddhas and Manjushri their wisdom, Vajrapani manifests their power. In the sutras of the foundational vehicle, he appears as a protector of the Buddha. As an aspect of the Buddha Akshobhya, Vajrapani represents the vajra mind, and demonstrates how it removes obstacles to awakening by personifying power. Vajrapani gave an important Commentary on the Chakrasamvara Tantra, which is included in the Bodhisattva Trilogy. He also appeared as the Shambhala King Suchandra to request the Buddha to teach the Kalachakra Tantra. Khentrul Rinpoche’s root Guru Lama Lobsang Trinle was an emanation of Vajrapani. The practice of Vajrapani helps inspire us to find the strength and power to perform good deeds.
