Hevajra MANDALA

Appearing like a jeweled ornament, Shri Hevajra is traditionally shown in union with his consort Vajranairatmya (“Selfless One”) in the center of a palace representing the nature of our world. Within its four gates, a multicolored lotus unfolds, bearing goddesses. The central deities are ringed by eight great charnel grounds and the elemental limits of the universe. The practices relating to Hevajra focus on the completion stage, providing a method for disciples to swiftly attain the four bodies of a Buddha with the kind guidance of a skillful Guru. Because it displays the ultimate result of the path, connecting with this mandala can help inspire us to progress gradually and to develop the confidence to successively abandon different levels of impure views.
